Partner guide: recommending Booknexo and getting credited
For Booknexo partners: how referrals are credited to you, who to approach, how to describe Booknexo honestly, when commission is earned and paid, and how sub-partners work.
How a referral is credited to you
Every partner has a personal link, booknexo.com/r/ followed by your code. You will find it, with a copy button, at the top of your partner portal. A business that creates its Booknexo account from that link is linked to you permanently, and you earn on every subscription payment it makes for as long as it stays subscribed.
The surest way to be credited is for the owner to sign up straight from your link. If they browse the site first, the code is remembered on that visit — but not if they come back later on a different device, so it is worth sending the link at the moment they are ready to sign up.
If a business you introduced signed up without your link, email hello@booknexo.com with the business name. We can link it to you by hand; commission then applies to its payments from that point on.
Who to approach
Booknexo suits businesses that sell appointments with a person: barbershops, hair and nail salons, spas, clinics and physios, personal trainers and coaches, and mobile services that visit the client. It is not built for classes with a capacity limit, restaurants, events or retail.
The best conversations start from a problem the owner already has: bookings lost in Instagram messages and missed calls, no-shows, or a marketplace taking a cut of every new client.
- Web designers and marketers: add a booking page to the sites you build
- Suppliers and educators: you already talk to owners every week
- Existing Booknexo customers: owners trust other owners
How to introduce it
Let them see it working before asking them to sign up. The live demos at booknexo.com/demo are real booking pages they can book a test appointment on in under a minute, with no account.
Then point to the free plan. One person and up to 100 bookings a month costs nothing, so there is no risk in trying it. You start earning when the business moves to a paid plan — usually when they add a second staff member or want to take deposits.
Describe it accurately
Recommend Booknexo for what it does today. Over-promising loses the client in the first week and can end your partnership. The booking pages, staff calendars, email reminders, deposits through Stripe and self-service rescheduling all work now.
Be upfront about the limits that matter to the person in front of you:
- Calendar sync is one-way: Booknexo bookings appear in Google, Apple or Outlook Calendar, but events there do not block Booknexo times
- Gift cards and packages can be sold, but redeeming them against a booking is still being built
- One location per account, and the interface is in English
- Text and WhatsApp reminders need the business's own Twilio or WhatsApp account; email reminders work straight away
Help them get set up
A business that takes its first bookings in the first week tends to stay. Send new owners the getting-started guide (booknexo.com/guides/getting-started): one service and one working day are enough to go live, and the rest can follow.
When you earn, and when you are paid
Commission is earned on every paid subscription payment, at your rate at the time of that payment — shown in your partner portal and on booknexo.com/partners. Changes to rates only ever apply to future payments.
Each commission becomes payable after a holding period, which allows for refunds. If a payment is refunded or disputed, the matching share is reversed and deducted from what you are owed next. Nothing is earned on free plans, on your own business, or on payments that were refunded.
Add your payout details (bank account or PayPal) in your portal. Every payout we make is listed there, next to each commission and its status: pending, ready, or paid.
Sub-partners
If you know someone who could sell Booknexo too, propose them from your portal. Once we approve them they get their own link, and you earn an override on the subscription payments from the businesses they bring in. The override is taken from their commission, not added to the business's price.
It goes one level deep, and is only ever paid on real subscription payments — never for signing someone up.
FAQ
A business I introduced signed up without my link. Can I still be credited?
Yes. Email hello@booknexo.com with the business name and we can link it to you. Commission applies to its payments from then on, not to payments made before.
Do I earn anything while a business is on the free plan?
No. Commission is a share of subscription payments, and the free plan has none. It starts with the first payment once the business moves to a paid plan.
Can I offer a business a discount?
Not through the partner programme. Businesses that come through your link pay the normal price, and the free plan is usually the easiest way to get them started.
Where do I see my earnings?
In your partner portal at booknexo.com/partner. Sign in with the email address you were set up with and we send you a code. It shows your link, the businesses you referred, every commission and its status, and your payouts.
